Health Considerations Before Booking

Before scheduling your permanent makeup procedure, it’s crucial to know about health conditions that might affect your eligibility.
Your safety and best results matter, so please avoid booking if you have any of the following contraindications:

  • Individuals under 18 years of age: For safety reasons, we don’t perform permanent makeup on minors.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals: Hormonal changes during this time can affect the outcome.
  • Those with transmittable blood diseases: For your safety and ours, we can’t proceed under these conditions.
  • Individuals with high blood pressure: Certain health conditions may impact the procedure.
  • History of organ transplant or pacemaker surgery: Your medical history is essential for a safe procedure.
  • Active skin cancer: We prioritize your health, and active cancer needs medical attention.
  • Hemophilia: Blood clotting disorders can pose risks during the procedure.
  • Glaucoma: Certain eye conditions may affect the safety of the procedure.
  • Presence of eczema or psoriasis on or near the intended treatment area: Skin conditions can affect the outcome.
  • History of hypertrophic scarring or keloids: Previous scarring can impact results.
  • Recent use of Accutane/Retin-A within the past 6 months: Certain medications may affect the procedure.
  • Individuals undergoing chemotherapy: Medical treatments may interfere with the process.
  • Use of blood-thinning medication: Blood-thinning agents can pose risks during the procedure.
  • Individuals who have received Botox within the past month: Recent Botox treatments may impact results.

For these conditions, medical clearance is required:

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure: To ensure your safety, we need clearance from your healthcare provider.
  • Diabetes: Managing diabetes is crucial for a safe procedure.

If you have concerns about your medical condition, consult your healthcare provider before booking. Your safety is our top priority.

Once you’ve given your consent after the consultation and brow predraw, it is important to note that any desired changes after the completion of the procedure are not the liability of the studio.

For clients seeking corrective work with previous work done by another artist, we kindly request realistic expectations. Working on a canvas with existing ink is different from a clean slate. Depending on the condition of your old brows or lips, the results may differ from those of a brand-new set with no prior ink. Additionally, achieving your desired results may require multiple sessions.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in recognizing the unique circumstances of corrective work. It is our priority to provide the best possible outcome while managing expectations realistically.

What are Ombre Brows? Ombre Powder Brows is a semi-permanent makeup technique that creates a soft, shaded pencil look, providing the appearance of fuller brows akin to a soft eyebrow pencil. Popular for its non-invasiveness and suitability for all skin types, Ombre Powder Brows involve pixelated effects, offering a soft or bold look lasting up to three years based on lifestyle and maintenance choices. It’s essential to note that it is not microblading.

Eligibility for Ombre Brows: Unfortunately, individuals falling into specific categories may be ineligible for the procedure. Please check Disqualifications List

Does it Hurt? Pain tolerance varies, with most describing it as a light scratch. Topical anesthetic is used to numb the areas after the outline and throughout the procedure for maximum comfort.

Shape and Color Selection: Shapes are based on natural bone structure and existing hair growth, considering individual brow goals. A pre-draw with a brow pencil ensures satisfaction before starting. Brows are not identical but aim for symmetry. Colors are personalized to match natural hair, skin tone, and eye color, using organic and cruelty-free pigments.

Touch-Up and Longevity: A touch-up after 6-12 weeks is recommended for optimal results. The frequency of touch-ups is a personal preference, with annual touch-ups suggested for color and shape maintenance. Touch-ups are not included in the initial service cost. The longevity of Ombre Brows depends on factors such as sun exposure, skin type, pigment density, and long-term maintenance, typically lasting between 18 and 36 months.

Healing Process: The scabbing process takes 10-14 days, with full healing stages at 4-6 weeks.

Preparation and Post-Procedure Expectations: Refer to our ‘Brow Precare Guidelines for Optimal Results’ and ‘Brow Aftercare Instructions’ for preparation. Post-procedure, tenderness, redness, and swelling are normal and will subside. The color appears darker initially and gradually lightens during healing.

Long-Term Maintenance: Yearly touch-ups are recommended, and daily SPF-50 application is crucial post-healing to maintain color. Avoiding chemical peels, laser treatments, and retinols on the brow area is advised to prevent fading.

Brows Done by Another Artist: Brows done by another artist are not considered touch-ups but may require a color correction appointment and is based on factors like saturation, bulb lightness, and adherence to the natural brow shape.

AVOID 24-72 HOURS PRIOR

  • Coffee, alcohol, boba, tea, energy drinks, pre-workout, beers, wine, hard liquor, seltzers, etc: These can contribute to increased sensitivity and potential bleeding during the procedure.
  • Blood-thinning medications (Ibuprofen, aspirin, Niacin, fish oil): These may cause hypersensitivity, increased bleeding, and bruising.

AVOID 2 WEEKS PRIOR

  • Eyebrow waxing, threading, plucking, or tinting: Preserves natural hair growth for better results.
  • Exfoliating, chemical peels, retinol, and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA): These may affect the healing process.
  • Tanning: Sun exposure can impact the pigmentation process.

AVOID 4 WEEKS PRIOR

  • Tweezing, threading, and waxing: Maximizes use of natural hair growth.
  • Retinol and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products: Can interfere with the healing process.
  • Brow dye or tint: May impact color consistency.
  • Tanning: Sun exposure can affect the healing process.
  • Chemical peels, microdermabrasion, harsh facials, and skin treatments: May cause irritation.

AVOID 2 MONTHS PRIOR

  • Botox and fillers near the brow area: Prevents any potential interference with the procedure.
  • Brow dye or tint: Ensures a clean canvas for the procedure.
  • Cosmetic enhancements and surgeries near the area: Allows for full healing before the procedure.

THINGS TO NOTE

  • Increased sensitivity during your menstrual cycle: May amplify discomfort during the procedure.
  • Crucial to follow pre-care instructions for optimal healing and results: Ensures the best possible outcome post-procedure.

Day 1: Absorb

  • After the procedure, gently blot the treated area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid.
  • Repeat until oozing has stopped to prevent hardening of lymphatic fluids.

Day 2: Wash

  • Morning wash with the provided solution to remove excess lymph fluid buildup.
  • Gently pat dry with a clean tissue. DO NOT use products with acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA) or exfoliants.

Important Reminders:

  • It’s normal for scabbing and peeling to occur. Resist the urge to scratch, rub, pick, or peel scabs. Let them fall off naturally to avoid pigment loss.

  • Do not sleep on your face for the initial 10 days.
  • No lash extensions until brows are fully healed.
  • Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen.

  • Use only the provided ointment; no other creams or makeup on the treated area.
  • If you notice bumps, rash, irritation beyond the treated area, or suspect an allergic reaction, cease ointment use, and gently cleanse the area.

Lip Blush: Enhance your lips’ color and fullness with a semi-permanent tattoo, lasting up to 3 years. Depositing ink into your lips creates a natural look.

Lip Neutralization: A semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that reduces cool tones and hyperpigmentation on the lips, lasting up to 3 years.

Eligibility: Check ‘Lip Precare Guidelines for Optimal Results’ and ‘Lip Aftercare Instructions’ for eligibility.
